UPHOLD INTEGRITY IN FINANCIAL REPORTING
5.1 Compliance with Applicable Financial Reporting Standard
In presenting the annual audited financial statements and quarterly financial results to the shareholders,
investors and Regulatory Authorities, the Board aims to present a balanced and understandable assessment
of the Group’s financial performance, position and prospects.
The Board, assisted by the Audit Committee, oversees the integrity and reliability of the Group’s financial
statements. The Audit Committee members, who are financially literate, meet on a quarterly basis to review the
financial statements prior to recommending them for the Board’s approval and issuance to stakeholders. The
Audit Committee also ensures that these financial statements comply with the applicable financial reporting
standards in Malaysia. Such financial statements comprise the quarterly financial reports announced to Bursa
Securities and the annual audited financial statements.
The Directors’ Responsibility Statement in preparing the annual audited financial statements of the Group and
the Company is set out on page 40 of this Annual Report.
